General Education Curriculum

Background

Still in its infancy, General Education Center of URS is established to unite, promote, and provide an avenue for multi-disciplinary academic strands in the general education curriculum across Colleges. The center is working to build-up the university’s reformed educational system to fulfill the ideals of well-rounded education among the 21st century higher education learners. GE serves as the students’ training circle and leading-edge prior to their enrollment in major subjects. It plays a vital role in crafting today’s university curriculum, the academic reform which favors students’ development through the study of time-honored history, engage the learners in various dialogues in natural, behavioral, and social sciences to delve in the realm of research and knowledge, and ponder on artistic and cultural practices applied to real life.
