The Institute of Accountancy humbly began as a component entity of the Institute of Cooperatives, Economics and Management with only a handful of students who came from the then Rizal State College Angono Campus with Prof Allan P Anorico as its Academic Head. It was then a five-year degree program beginning with a Three-Year Associate in Accounting Technology ladderized into Bachelor of Accounting Technology and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. A number of accountants served as Institute Heads and later became Deans of College as follows: Cesar R Rementina, CPA; Clarissa N Mariño, CPA; Antonina G Dinoy, CPA; Dr Ariel M Plantilla; Loida T Masinsin, CPA. During her deanship in Academic Year 2013-2014 up to Academic Year 2015-2016, the Institute separated from the College of Business and Accountancy which gave birth to the now College of Accountancy. In her term also as dean and having become an addition in the roster of performing colleges, the College of Accountancy attained its full program recognition awarded by the Commission on Higher Education through the rigid program and facilities evaluation by the Board of Accountancy. She was able also to get the BSA program accredited to AACCUP Level II and is now ready for a higher recognition. She was succeeded into office by Ernie D Tano, CPA who shortly served the College for he was given a university designation as Budget Officer. Liberty T Ocampo, CPA continued the remaining term of her predecessor and is currently the designated Dean of College.
All these educational pursuits resulted to fruitful reaps when Leomar Cabarles topnotched in the CPA Board Examinations in May 2009 placing second among thousands of hopefuls in the country. On that same occasion, Glenn Yves Berdan placed 13th in the national ranking adding colors in the laurels of the College in particular and of the Campus in general.
At present, the College is continuously performing better through its students who have been bagging awards in various regional and national competitions closely supervised by Dean Ocampo. Dean Ocampo is in high hopes to produce competent and upright accountants to better serve the financial and banking industries and other companies that are constantly in need of a Certified Public Accountant.
